Some projects require the presence of a competent resin bound contractor. We’re happy to say that we fit this description. The approach we have to our work is not just a professional one however. Our team is also friendly towards every client because they remain the number one priority at all times.

Resin bound and resin bonded both sound incredibly similar. However, the two processes are not as identical as you may think. To clear up any confusion, we are going to explain how both of them work.

Resin bound

A resin bound system mixes recycled materials, marble, or natural aggregate and clear resin together meticulously. Immediately afterwards, we lay the mix on a base to an even, porous finish. The final depth of a surface that’s been resin bound varies. It can be between 12mm and 24mm. This all depends on the type and size of the stones.

The application is important as well. With a resin bound paving set up, we can merge distinct stone colours and sizes. As a result there is a vast collection of finishes.

How does resin bonded differ?

Now we’re going to talk about resin bonded. With this system, you introduce a resin film to the surface. On top of this you scatter clean, dry aggregate. It covers the resin entirely. After curing, it is important to sweep up the excess stone. The size of the stones in this arrangement is between 1mm and 6mm. Due to it being thin and impermeable, the single stone layer typically comes with a rougher finish.

At SO Groundworks, we are always prepared for the task that lies ahead of us. We make it a point to always have access to the necessary machinery. Our team also has a decent balance of youth and experience. This makes us one of the very best choices if you want a resin bound contractor.
